Robert "Sam" Saldenha is of Caribbean native, living in Boston. He's playing Bass with the Volume II Steelband. Sporadically, he is writing a newsletter for the Engine Room Section which takes over a part of the Boston Carnival. Sam has offered to share these newsletters with all the pan jumbies, also with you.

You are allowed to use, reproduce, reprint the articles, provided that any such reproduction is done in a non-profit way and does identify him as the original writer and this website as source. A fair use policy considers that you check with him for permission. Anyone using the material for commercial use must first notify the author. Now enjoy and come back every now and then.
